A Place To Watch The Olympics: The Fringe At Swan Wharf
If you’re trying to find somewhere to watch the game with your friends you may want to consider The Fringe. The venue is near to the Olympics Park, so close that you can see some of it, being there makes you feel part of the game. The advertising of the place is slightly confusing. If you google it, the site says you have to pay for day membership or ticket only membership. When we were there on Saturday it was free entrance to the venue but you had to pay to get in next door. Right next to The Fringe is a VIP area echoing the south of France with a lovely restaurant. We will tell you how the VIP area is tomorrow.

In the mean time tell your friends about this place, the warehouse is massive and next to the water. When the sun is out it isn’t a bad place to watch the game. The screen is big and the bar feels spacious. Drinks are however quite expensive so this is something that may put people off. We paid £2.50 for tea and £5 for a bottle of beer. You can get off at Hackney Wick Overground or take a boat with Water Chariots. A return ticket will set you back £45 with a complimentary drink.
