Patrick Latimer is a Cape Town based illustrator and cartoonist. After several years working as an art director at some of Cape Town’s large advertising agencies, he made the jump to full time illustration. His work can be found in local and international magazines, on book covers and wine labels and seen in advertising campaigns. He uses pencil drawings, ink splats, found textures and photographic elements combined in Photoshop to create his work and is always experimenting with new combinations.

He has also collaborated with his brother to produce a daily cartoon (for 3 years, ending in 2010) in Business Day called The Western Nostril. His work has been recognised by Lurzer’s Archive and was included in their 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide 07/08 and 11/12.
