John Malta was born in East Cleveland, Ohio where he spent most of his time wading through murky creeks, hanging out at house punk shows, and hiding in tree forts with his pet iguana. He currently lives and works in New York City.

John has exhibited his work in Taiwan, Vancouver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Portland, and widely across the Midwest- and has been self-publishing zines of his drawings for as long as he can remember.
