Food porn is a new term invented to mostly accommodate delicious food photographs. It’d be fair to say food bloggers have raised the standards of images used in blogging considerably. A few passionate bloggers have invested a lot of time showing off their hard work, consequently culinary images could seduce people.

A good example of a blogger that has made a contribution to standards used in selecting and using food images is Ree Drummond. She has (now) a known blog called The Pioneer Woman in America. At the beginning of the journey she didn’t bake the lightest petite madeleines, cook unknown dishes, change Delia’s perfectly good recipes or spend money on reviewing expensive and often unaffordable places. It was something as simple as noodle salad that eventually sealed her status as a leading food blogger and No1 New York Times bestselling author.

She dedicated a large amount of time to photographs and even shared tricks she was using to arrive at the pictures, the kind that journalists now call food porn. A big aspect of her blog has always consisted of personal stories about life on a ranch. It was a combination of her warm personality and good images that landed her a show, book deals, and a brand new blog under the same name generating porn for food (or vice versa). So now you know good content doesn’t always mean unique long articles.
