Mark Hix’s Tramshed is outstanding, roast chicken or steak, simples! And nothing less than utterly perfectly cooked.
Song Que is our staple, clean, lean and delicious, or the crispy shredded Szechuan beef with rice and a cola is a killer hangover cure if it’s still lingering at lunchtime.
I’m not going to lie Spitalfields’ Giraffe is my breakfast place of choice; it’s cheesy and a chain but it’s good for breakfast and not poncey. Huevos Rancheros, Giddy Giraffe Smoothy and a coffee – another hangover cure made in heaven. At lunch the super healthy greens and feta salad is immense also
Flying Angels of Spitafields market stall for cakes – brownies all the way. They’re £2.50 and so enormous that my big fella friends can’t even finish them. Proud to say that I always can.
Thank you to all the restaurants for images.
